F&O Analyst & OTC Clearing Analyst

Our high profile Banking client currently has an opportunity for an F&O & OTC Clearing Analyst to work in there offices based Chester

Introduction

A role exists for a highly motivated, industry established, senior professional within the F&O and OTC Clearing Operations EMEA Management Team, who is looking to further expand an already successful career in the field of Futures & Options and OTC Clearing.

The department has a Market Operation which comprises of, Clearing, Deliveries, Regulatory/Exchange and Process Control, Strategy, Client Service and Documentation Teams. This structure is replicated regionally in Chicago and Singapore processing trading activity over 60+ Exchanges.

Role Description

  • The role will be reporting to the Chester based Operations Manager.
  • Focus on controls and exceptions in relation to Transaction Reporting.
  • Liaison with QA Teams and Technology in the resolution and remediation of issues identified.
  • Contribute to the build out of BRDs, and support of UAT in relation to process/infrastructure change.
  • Issue tracking, status updates and communication of streams to all key stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyse daily clearing and reconciliation activity and escalation.
  • Support BAU operational functions with regard to all TR related activities and remediation.

Required Skills

  • Understand and adapt to regulatory and industry change (with EMIR, Trans Reporting, Client Money, MiFID working knowledge).
  • Proven track record of achieving results optimizing resources and driving efficiencies.
  • Excellent communication and the ability to manage relationships with peers and senior management.
  • Strength in identifying and implementing solutions for process improvement.
  • Strong comprehension of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint.
  • Experience of Futures & Options and Transaction Reporting (MiFID and EMIR) is essential.
  • GMI knowledge would be of significant benefit.
