Regional Project Manager with experience of working on large scale transformation programmes is required for an initial 6 month contract with a major Insurance Organisation based in Hong Kong.

Project Management:

Lead delivery of a project streams of a Digital/IT program. This entails managing development teams and business analysts to deliver specific solutions/services that meet the business need, and ensuring that individual project objectives within the project portfolio are met within the agreed scope, budget, and schedule. This role will also manage stakeholders through the change process and drive critical decision-making with sponsors (while keeping senior management informed) through the use of Project Management standards and best practices.

Technical Lead:

  • Technical problem resolution and direction to vendor scrum teams
  • Testing strategy direction
  • Project Execution Lead SME for RFP construction and content Application Development & S&M Services
  • Formulating the Target Operating Model for delivery, including FTE forecasts, skills requirements
  • Datamodelling & metrics construction to support TOM through identifying existing FTE counts from vendors and reverse engineering from contracts

Qualifications:

University graduate, preferably in IT or related disciplines. Preferably project management (PMP) certified

Experience

10+ years experience in managing multiple regional projects (must have multi-country & multi-business line experience project budget managed ~USD 10+mn; Experience with large-scale transformation programs/projects (incl. business change management)

Skills

Significant knowledge in insurance business across product, sales/customer support, distribution, operation and finance reporting

Strong change management skills and experience, with a proven track record of developing, implementing and maintaining business systems

Ability to lead a team of IT professionals and business analysts in different project development phases in both technical and business perspectives

Track record in developing and managing a team of project managers & business analysts (mentoring & coaching ability)

Excellent verbal and written English communication and presentation skills

Excellent inter-personal and negotiation skills
