Costing Specialist - 3 Month Contract + Extensions - £15-£19 per hour - Glasgow - JA/Req/034937
Our client, a large public services organisation, is seeking a motivated and analytically-minded Costing Specialist to join their Costing Services team based in Glasgow.
The Role:
The successful applicant's day to day responsibilities will be various and will include:
* Working through large quantities of data, referring to technical drawings and engineering guidelines
* Undertaking comparative analysis
* Carrying out quality assurance validations
* Forecasting of cost projects
* Analysing capital and operational activities
* Root cost analysis
* Stakeholder management
* Working collaboratively within a team environment
The Applicant:
To be considered for the position you must possess the below skills and experiences:
* Highly competent in interpreting and managing complex data and articulating its meaning
* Report writing experience
* Ability to make decisions based on the analysis of information
* Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
* Excellent numerical, literary and analytical skills
* Communication and teamwork skills
* Hold a full driving license
* Experience working from technical drawings (desired)
* Experience improving policies, processes and procedures (desired)
* Experience in estimating or engineering (desired)
As the client is a public services company, the role falls inside of IR35, and you therefore must be prepared to contract through an umbrella company.
