Rewards Manager, 6 months Contract, Warwick

My client is an international electricity and gas company and one of the largest investor owned Energy companies in the world. They play a vital role in delivering gas and electricity to many millions of people across Great Britain and North-Eastern US in an efficient, reliable and safe manner.

Job Purpose:

To provide value added benefit provision and end to end employee benefits process management. Ensure that the suite of benefits for employees is market competitive and delivered effectively and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of a business-aligned compensation and benefits strategy
  • Ongoing design, maintenance and management of competitive compensation and employee benefits programmes and key policy areas
  • Oversee an efficient set of delivery channels for the range of compensation and benefits frameworks eg through the Shared Services Centre or contract managing 3rd party providers.
  • External bench marking and networking to maximise awareness/knowledge of market best practice in all areas of compensation benefits
  • Interpretation of legislation and HMRC tax rules regulating employee benefits to ensure all policies and processes are legally compliant.
  • Manage and undertake the job sizing and job evaluation processes for the various employee categories, including liaising with the reward team, to ensure there is company-wide consistency.
  • Interpretation of UK legislation and HMRC tax rules regulating C&B to ensure all policies and processes are legally compliant.
  • Managing the communication channels for the compensation and benefits programmes ensuring they are fully understood and appreciated
  • Ensure the appropriate levels of governance exist in the C&B processes, balancing the businesses preferred line management delegated authority levels with financial control and consistency of approach considerations.
  • Undertake specific reward projects as determined by the UK Head of Rewards

Key Experience:

  • Proven experience of compensation and benefits management within a large commercial organisation involving practical and detailed application of the existing compensation and benefits policies and processes
  • Strong experience of variable pay design and (bonus schemes) implementations
  • Strong experience of job evaluation and market analysis
  • Knowledge of compensation reporting software desirable
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including complex Datamodelling
  • Proven Project Management experience
  • Experience communicating and influencing at Senior Manager level
  • Ability to work in a complex challenging and sensitive environment
  • Experience of compensation and benefits management systems
  • Ability to work in a complex challenging and sensitive environment
  • A good knowledge of the benefits marketplace in the UK and in particular latest developments in flexible benefits design and application
  • Strong 3rd party supplier/contract management

Qualification Required:

  • CIPD qualified
