An innovative, science-based technology company is recruiting for a new Manufacturing Technology Engineer, to join the Personal Care Division in Gorseinon, South Wales.
The overall mission of the role is to support, and improve, the high-volume manufacturing supply chain. The candidate will identify and implement new technologies, methodologies and strategies to achieve this, as well as working with team members in Quality Engineering, Product Engineering and Production to provide the full range of technical support.
Key Job Responsibilities:
*To achieve agreed operational performance targets
*To identify, define and implement safety, quality, cost and performance improvements
*To keep the areas running effectively, through data analysis, process improvement and provision of technical support
Key Attributes:
*Take ownership for an assigned manufacturing process with regard to process variation, quality, waste, and provide technical support for the running of that process in order to meet production requirements
*Have a persistent inquisitiveness to investigate, learn and deeply understand processes
*Demonstrate logical, outcome based thinking, leading to reliable data-based decision making
*Demonstrate an innovative and systematic approach to problem solving; solving the root cause and not the symptom
*Manage projects to achieve the goals with maximum quality, minimum cost and time
Skills and Experience:
*Ideally possess 5 year's experience in a Manufacturing Technology Engineering role or related fields
*Have good communication skills
*Demonstrate strong project management skills
*Ideally be Six Sigma certified
*Have the ability to plan and prioritise
*Demonstrate good decision making and problem solving skills
Qualifications:
*Degree in a technical, manufacturing or engineering discipline is required
*A relevant Higher Degree would be an advantage
