CONTRACT Procurement Manager - Peterborough
CONTRACT Procurement Manager is URGENTLY required for one of the leading worldwide brands based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire - commutable from London, Nottingham, Corby, Leicester, Bedford, Cambridge, Boston and Northampton.
We are looking for a Procurement Manager who would lead a small team supporting the HR and Professional Services teams, ensuring maximised cost performance and efficiency.
You will be managing multiple procurement projects and delivering these against business objectives and will be reviewing current and future spends to ensure the services are sourced efficiently and effectively.
You will possess:
- Procurement experience at a managerial level in a fast-paced environment
- Commercial awareness with the ability to carry out detailed analysis
- Ability to challenge the status quo and see the wider picture, developing innovative solutions to business problems
- Strong supplier management skills and excellent negotiation skills
- Basic knowledge of SAP operating systems
- Polished communication skills and the ability to liaise with various stakeholders across all levels and segments of the organisation
- Pro-active mind set and the ability to work on your own initiative
- Understanding of E-Auction platforms is preferred
- MCIPS qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential
