*Settlements Administrator, Global Asset Management Bank, Manchester, 6 month contract*

Asset Management Custodial Bank requires a Settlements Administrator to join their team in Manchester on an initial 6 month contract.

Team Description: (Overview of the team)

As part of the Global Client Service Delivery division the Manchester Settlements Department contains a rich variety of fast paced, global teams which facilitate our world-wide client bases transactions in a variety of global markets and securities such as Equities, collective investments, physically held and bearer securities, Gilts, Bonds and American Depository Receipts. Dealing with a variety of internal and external stakeholders each team within Manchester Settlements blends client focus, integrity and teamwork as it strives for excellence in all aspects.

Job Purpose: (What the job role involves)

This is a great role for someone wanting to start a career in a global investment services company with fantastic career progression and mobility. Working within a supportive team you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate settlement of all client instructions and monitoring and updating all trades in accordance with market and Company best practices. You must be able to provide a high quality service to our clients, while minimising risks to the organisation and guarding against any financial or reputational loss.

Key responsibilities:

  • UK and International Settlements including Equity, Unit Trust, Gilt, Bond, Bearer and ADR Settlements
  • Liaison with Unit Trust Managers, Fund Managers, Registrars, Counterparties, Revenue Offices, Brokers, Clients, CRESTCO, Sub-Custodians, external auditors, and vendors to resolve trade mismatches and prevent settlement fails
  • Liaising with internal teams to resolve exceptions, breaks, and client queries
  • Participating in process redesign and improvements
  • Utilising opportunities for self-development and self-improvement

Key requirements:

  • Attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Strong desire for excellence with a conscientious approach
  • A Team Player with a can do attitude.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise in a pressurised environment.
  • Strong client service ethic
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
