Job Title: Senior Analytical Manager

COMPETITIVE Daily Pay Rate: £480 Umbrella £384.13 PAYE (Base on experience)
Hours: Daily 7.4 weekly 37
Location: 9 Positions; 5 Available in Leeds and 4 available in London.
Contract Length: ASAP to 27/10/17
BPSS (DS) - Baseline Personnel Security Standard (with a Disclosure Scotland)

This request is to source up to 9 contractors to fill Senior Analytical Manager gaps in analytical teams.

- Specifically require professionals with strong analytical skills.

- Preferably Statisticians, Economists, Operational Researchers, Social Researchers.

Additional qualifications required for this role

Educated to Degree level in a relevant subject (such as Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Operational Research, or a related quantitative or analytical discipline) or equivalent level of qualification or significant equivalent previous proven experience in specialist area.

Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.

Key tasks and deliverables

Provides analysis, insight and evidence, and data-based products to support decision making. Structures problems and develops appropriate analytical solutions, analysing and triangulating data in innovative ways, and adapting approaches to deal with ambiguity. Deploys analytical judgement in dealing with complex problems or missing data. Provides advice, giving persuasive explanations of complex concepts orally and in writing to a range of audiences, in a clear and accessible manner. Project management skills, including the planning, management and delivery of a portfolio of projects.

Experience Required

Significant experience in analytical techniques and their application (eg economics, statistics, social research and operational research), particularly within health.

A strong analytical background and a mix of the following skills:

Knowledge of (NHS) datasets and definitions

Ability to assess data quality and reliability

Data interrogation skills including data linking

Descriptive statistics, standardisation and sampling

Customer base development, including commissioning external partners

Stakeholder engagement and management
