Internship Job Description
Kobo Capital is seeking an intern for its London office. The role is expected to last a minimum of six months, beginning in October 2017.
The intern will be primarily responsible for acting as the focal point of the firm's Back Office, liaising with the Partners, the Executive Sourcing Director, the Operations Director and the recruiting/sales team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing the relationship and the communication with Venture Partners/ELITE Experts, Companies and Investors
- Screening requests from potential clients and ELITE Companies and providing assistance to the Partners in following up
- Providing guidance to the sales team on deal marketing activities: setting communication guidelines, defining investors lists and assisting the Venture Partner with all the Back Office activities
- Participating in marketing activities (such as newsletter design and events), in close collaboration with marketing Partners and ELITE and London Stock Exchange marketing team
- Curating user-generated content to be published online
Desired Qualifications and Key Skills
- Excellent relationship skills, empathy, networking ability
- Passion for design and innovation in digital communication; attention to detail
- Excellent professional standing (public speaking, innate elegance etc.)
- Good knowledge of at least one second language
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field
- Ambition to work in financial services close to institutional environments but with a passion for innovation (fintech)
- Ability to learn quickly and have a high level of intellectual curiosity
- Dynamic self-starter, able to initiate tasks and work independently with limited supervision
