Financial Accountant Glasgow/Edinburgh 6 Month Contract
Harvey Nash's client a public-sector body, is seeking a driven and fully qualified Financial Accountant to join their Glasgow based team on an initial 6 month contract. You will be expected to provide a wide range of financial support to senior staff and other departments across the organisation.
Main Duties include:
* Generating, identifying, interrogating and assessing appropriate financial data to support decision making.
* Develop a new branch, upskilling team members in a subject area.
* Working closely with technical architects and programme colleagues, contributing to the design of systems.
* Implementation, management and improvement of processes and procedures for financial governance.
* Provide scrutiny & constructive challenge of options appraisals & business cases to ensure financial requirements are met.
Skills/Qualifications required:
* CCAB/or CIMA qualified accountant
* Experience of implementing/development of financial systems.
* Experience of project/programme finance in a dynamic and/or agile environment.
* Proven ability to work on your own initiative, to deliver high quality outcomes and outputs and to meet deadlines whilst managing competing pressures.
* Flexible to travel between both Glasgow and Edinburgh offices.
* Must hold a valid Basic Disclosure Scotland Certificate.
