Pricing Analyst - Costing
A Pricing Analyst is required to work on a six month contract, with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Surrey
This is a 6 month contract with a leading UK defence business.
Overview of the Pricing Analyst contract role
- A Pricing Analyst required to carry out pricing forecasts and analysis.
- Preparing and agreeing (both internal and external) costed commercial proposals
- Managing the Cost Engineering inputs for the life cycle management (LCM) and tender vetting processes
- Delivering cost estimating support to all functions
- Adopting clear understandings with suppliers, both technical and commercial to ensure the business arrangements contain minimum risk
- Providing advice to the cost engineers and the business on estimating/pricing/contract terms/inflation and variation of price issues as they relate to bidding and performing contracts
Key skills required for the Pricing Analyst
- Educated to HNC Level or higher or equivalent in a technical/operational skill set or appropriate relevant experience
- Demonstrable experience in cost estimating
- Forecasting and analysis experience
- Experience of "Should Cost Modelling" and clean sheeting exercises.
- Experience and knowledge of Pricing and analysis tools: SEER, etc.
- A technical understanding/awareness of complex electronic systems
- Previous estimating experience gained within in engineering or manufacturing
- Knowledge of Single Source Contract Regulations (SSCR) and AAR Criteria would be advantageous
