Description

The ideal candidate will have had software project experience and can expect to work 40 hours a week (Monday to Friday).

Project Complexity
Manages project(s) with medium to high risk with scope changes related with Advanced Services deliverables, customer and subcontractor interdependencies and implementing technologies already proven in other regional operations.

Job Responsibilities

. Manages integration, interdependencies, and alignment of tracks of work within and across functions as required.
. Creates a project delivery schedule that includes financial, resource and material requirements.
. Ensures that the project has completed the relevant gate requirements and that deliverables have been properly reviewed by stakeholders.
. Leads and advocates PMI best practices of Integration, Scope, Time, Quality, Communication, Risk and Procurement Management
. Manages project related communications within and outside of the project
. Proactively identifies and communicates impacts to internal and external stakeholders.
. Provides information regarding project progress and scope using a project dashboard and/or internal/external status reports
. Identifies and socializes project success metrics to the internal team and to external stakeholders. Evaluates project progress and results against success metrics.
. Exudes energy and enthusiasm. Promotes and recognizes the contribution of team members, and creates a positive work environment.
. Effectively identifies and resolves issues.
. Proactively identifies risks, communicates risks to appropriate stakeholders and develops a risk mitigation strategy and a contingency plan.
. Defines acceptance criteria, prioritizes stakeholder requirements and defines the scope boundaries. Leads execution of change requests when applicable.
Supervision

. Can keep focus and productivity with the guidance of a senior Project Manager either on site or remotely.
. Oversees onsite and remote project staff including project engineers, vendors, subcontractors and partners for the duration of the project.
. Receives general project objectives and directions on new assignments. Work is reviewed in between critical project milestones.
Accountability

. Accountable for the delivery of project outputs and the management of schedule, scope, quality, cost, and risk per approved charter for small to medium sized projects.
. Measured around Execution general effectives, cost management, escalation management, risk management, execution speed, compliance with processes and policies, stakeholder satisfaction and quality.
Education and experience

. Requires BS/BA degree in Electronics, Systems or Electrical Engineering.
. Should have some formal project management qualification ideally PMP, PRINCE 2, ESi or equivalent or be studying for such a qualification.
. Scrum Master and ITIL certifications desirable
. 5 years of prior Project Management experience in the deployment of project solutions in complex Service Provider environments.
. More than 5 years related experience in networking/telecommunications industry or a minimum of 5 years managing LAN and/or WAN network implementation and support.
. Agile and Software expertise.

. Project Management experience in the deployment of leading edge technologies in a complex commercial environment
. Has basic knowledge of routing, routing protocols, switching, Internet and general network architecture.
. Has leadership skills and experience working with large project teams and strategic account teams.
. Has a working knowledge of the sales process including risk assessment and scoping
. Has a good understanding of the legal issues with contracts
. Has advanced negotiation and presentation skills
. Understands the organization, aims and processes
. Has advanced skills in Microsoft Project
. Has advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
