Scrum Master / Software Development / Visual Studio Team Services / VSTS / Agile / Kanban / Energy / Retail / London£300 - £320 per day
6 months rolling (would expect this to renew multiple times)
I am working with one of Europe's leading energy suppliers and they are looking to hire a contract Scrum Master for a 6 month rolling contract for their Waterloo office. The rate is low but the work will be very interesting and the client has some very long term programmes to be involved with.
Scrum Master Specification:
- Experience in playing the Scrum Master role for at least 4 years, for software development teams that diligently applied Scrum principles, practices, and theory
- Experience with Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS) or equivalent tool
- Understanding of iterative software development processes and procedures
- Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, and communication
- Knowledge of various well-documented Agile patterns and techniques e.g. burndown technologies, retrospective formats, story-mapping, handling bugs, etc
- Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
- Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.
- Applicable knowledge of the advanced analytics technologies and Open Source frameworks used by the team (e.g. Python, R, Tensorflow, Databricks, Alteryx)
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills
- Domain experience: Energy, RetailI
