Core-Asset Consulting's client, a global asset management firm, are seeking a Change and Configuration Analyst to join their Edinburgh team for an initial contract of 6 months
The Change and Configuration analyst will work to ensure a high degree of accuracy within the CMDB, a quick turnaround on the analysis of change requests and to ensure widely available Management information that is up to date and accurate.
Core requirements:
- Confident using Powerpoint, Word, Excel and ideally Visio
- ITIL V3 foundation or higher is desirable - at a minimum be able to demonstrate understanding of change management, configuration management and service transition
- Prior experience using Share point
- Basic Site creation and maintenance skills advantageous
- Experience drafting and sending out clear and concise communications via Email and other channels improve on defined processes
- Experience chairing and driving meetings both in person and virtually desirable
Core responsibilities:
- Work with the Change and Configuration manager to ensure that changes are processed to Policy and that processes are correctly followed
- Carry out evaluations on upcoming changes to make sure deliverables have been met prior to seeking approval and assist the Change and Configuration Manager processing change in your region
- Work with the Transition Manager to ensure that all transition items are delivered against plan and that testing, and validations has been carried out on all new systems
- Work with other teams in production to ensure that deliverables, knowledge and documentation are provided where required.
- Create and maintain documentation and provide regular Management information on the status of transitions
- Carry out and manage regular audits on CMDB process checks to ensure compliance with the CMDB policy
- Work with architecture and technical teams to implement visual service maps linking components together to show critical services on a simple dashboard
- Own and manage the entry of all manual CI's as required by the process
- Work with Projects, Business analysts and architects to capture non-functional requirements early in the project life cycle so that an appropriate service design can be completed
- Generate Management information on availability and capacity within teams and services to match the requirements of the project or report on exceptions where none are available
- Work in Tandem with other Analysts to deliver a consistent service globally
- Work as one team to deliver a standard set of processes that apply to all functions by providing feedback and consistently looking to improve or expand our offering
- Assist with the management of multiple Functions within Service Design, change and transition under the remit of the Head of Service for that area
- Work with other functions adjust and improve the way we interact
