We currently have a vacancy for 1x Project Manager to offer his/her services within a European agency (client) in Strasbourg to start by the end of January 2018 a 220 w/days contract (initial) in an EN-speaking environment. Extensions are possible until year .
Our client is an international Organisation and a great reference in any CV. Please note that all the candidates for this position must already hold a Security Clearance and present it for verification.

Client may decide to extend the service performance one or several times until year .
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Manage the implementation of IT projects to meet identified business needs, acquiring and utilising the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality. Coordinate the implementation of security and business continuity exercise organised by the company for its large-scale IT systems. Define and manage the scope, schedule, budget and plan for projects throughout the life cycle.
- Performing specific project management related tasks according to the internal legal framework and best standards and practices (PRINCE2, ITIL, ISO 22398, etc.), mainly in relation to the exercise projects. Proactively identify and manage all significant issues and risks and escalate as necessary. Report and communicate project status to the project stakeholders.
- Assure that the project management process effectiveness is consistently managed. This involves providing an advisory service to project teams throughout the delivery life cycle to drive best practice and professionalism in approach.
- Understand project goals and objectives, and ensure that projects are setup to achieve these goals.
- Define communications plans and maintain excellent overall communications throughout the project. Support in the liaising processes with stakeholders (national authorities, and bodies, etc.) regarding the exercise implementation for the large-scale IT systems.
- Support/Coach Project Team (local planners/moderators, players, etc.), regarding the implementation and improvement of applicable project management processes within the context of the IT exercises, their objectives and priorities.
- Coordinate the organisation of the meetings and other activities with exercise participants and other stakeholders, mainly at the business and IT operations level.
- Provide guidance, expertise and support on drafting technical IT exercise scenario, injects and other specific project documentation related to the IT processes.
- Provide support in customising the IT software platforms used to for the related exercises for the large-scale IT systems.
- Understand, plan and organise the steps to prepare the overall exercise IT environment to allow technical execution of the exercise scenario by the players.
- Coordinate, review or support the drafting of specific project management and IT technical activity reports and any other related documentation.
- Performing any other activity related to the implementation of exercise projects for the large-scale IT systems.
Skills & Experience
Education: Minimum 4 years of relevant education (master or equivalent) after the secondary school.
Professional experience: Minimum 9 years of IT professional experience, of which minimum 6 years of experience with a project management methodology (eg Prince2).
Professional competencies:
- In order to fulfil the specific tasks and responsibilities, for this this profile is expected to possess proven competencies as the following:
- Deep knowledge in project management. An advantage is to be certified as project manager (eg: PRINCE2 Practitioner, etc.).
- Experience as Project Manager, Programme Manager or Project Management Officer (PMO) within a structured project environment.
- Good knowledge of business continuity management processes (including the execution of business continuity exercises involving IT processes and operations);
- Very good understanding of the business continuity and IT disaster recovery techniques, processes and technologies;
- Good knowledge of IT and security operations, including incident management, stakeholder communication and escalation processes;
- Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft applications including MS Project, MS Excel and MS Visio.
- Ability to participate actively in meetings, good communicator.
- Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in team working are mandatory.
- Capability to provide recommendations on improving the structure and efficiency of an organisation's IT systems.
- Availability to work overtime or travel when needed.
- Maintain high level of accuracy, confidentiality and professionalism.
- Run reports and handle special projects as assigned.
- Capability of working independently, as well as in teams.
- Client orientation.
