Management Accountant - Costbase
A Management Accountant with Costbase experience is required to work on a nine month contract, with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Portsmouth.
This is a 9-month contract with a leading UK defence business.
Overview of the Management Accountant contract role
As a Management Accountant you will be responsible for managing specific elements of the Maritime Services functional costbase, providing timely and accurate information to allow management decisions to be made.
The Maritime Services business is pursuing a costbase challenge and the Finance team is at the forefront of driving a cost conscious culture and working as a business partner with the functions and different parts of the business to ensure that the challenges are understood and action plans are in place and being worked.
This role is crucial to the success of the costbase challenge in Maritime Services being a key interface between budget holders, functions and the Leadership Team
Key skills required for the Management Accountant
- Professional qualification (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) or equivalent is preferable, although a finalist with appropriate experience may be acceptable
- You will already have substantial experience in the area of management accounting and costbase control in a large organisation
- Someone with excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts in an appropriate and understandable manner.
The role is based in Portsmouth, Hampshire - commutable from Southampton, Cowes, Isle of Wight, Salisbury, Winchester, Andover, Basingstoke, Guildford, Aldershot, Crawley, Horsham, Brighton, Worthing, Chichester
