Interim Communications Director
Day Rate: £800 - £1000p/d
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 4-6 months
Location: Home Counties
Overall Purpose:
A leading organisation in the Home Counties are currently seeking a Director of Communications to take the lead of all communciations withing the organisation. This role will be managing a team of 20 + people as well as face off to the senior leaders in the organisation. The organisation is going through a period of significant change, so the balancing the ability to understand emerging change strategies alongside 'in flight' transformational projects (that may be carrying significant risks) with the need for translating those plans into effective communications, writing up positional papers, briefings, external statements, FAQs, proof points and core narratives.
Experience/Qualifications
- Proven experience of leading and advising on stakeholder engagement and significant major change communications in and on behalf of a large and/or politically complex organisation.
- Experience of line-managing, motivating and inspiring large teams.
- Experience of leading and working within virtual and cross functional teams to deliver successful outcomes.
- Proven ability to deliver effective internal and external communications with demonstrable impact
- Experience of scenario planning and managing crisis communications
- Experience of managing several projects simultaneously applying good practice methodology in Project Management
- Significant experience of setting up and managing the delivery of cross-organisational, multi-audience communication projects
- Experience working at board level
