UK Brand Marketing Manager - 12 Month Contract - West London

Primary Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Brand Marketing Manager who is passionate about managing integrated through the line campaigns, confident in managing senior stakeholders and driving best in class creative. They will relish working with fabulous internal talent and some of the best agency partners. A key goal will be to drive creative consistency, ensure all comms are aligned with our global brand strategy and manage key brand sponsorship activity.

The role of the Brand Marketing Manager sits within strategically critical team, building brand equity across all customer touch points and helping to make the No.1 shopping destination.

The core responsibility of this role lies in driving creative excellence through fully integrated marketing campaigns, design & development and establishing end-to-end connected customer experiences across screens and touch-points.

You will be working across the full marketing mix - traditional channels like TV, radio and press, established social channels like Facebook and Snapchat, big partners like Google and a wealth of new opportunities. All with the goal of making a vibrant and exciting destination for buyers and sellers through a customer first approach

The role requires close collaboration with internal marketing teams to develop a fully integrated plan across all channels. Partnering closely with our agencies to develop impactful creative and innovative media plans and executing to meet deadlines and budgets.

Job Requirements

  • Using a collaborative working approach, pull cross-functional teams together to deliver briefs and marketing plans. Project managing across these teams to execute the plans across all channels to agreed timelines through the line.
  • Generate briefs that results in truly creative work - from a design perspective through to innovative use of channels and partnerships. Partnering with the insights team to deliver customer business understanding required to translate into briefs for agencies
  • Work with agencies to localise the global brand strategy and bring it to life for the UK with innovative, creative, and insightful communications that build from our brand platform and are relevant to our customers whilst maintaining consistency with the brand guidelines and ensure appropriate local nuances are addressed.
  • Working closely with the content, social, digital, email, onsite and PR teams to ensure channel activity is developed and implemented in an integrated way, creating a connected experience for our customers.
  • Collaborate with agencies to deliver creative ideas, concepts, creative executions and assets/formats fit-for-use with the customer. Aligning the creative & media plans to work together to maximise the return on investment and to push for innovation.
  • Report on performance of campaigns and drive improvements ongoing. Optimising the media mix and consistently improve the quality of creative execution as measured by customer-relevant metrics including consideration, traffic, click-through rates, engagement and ultimately conversion rates.
  • Manage client-agency relationship including ways of working, creative design/media planning and delivery processes, timelines, executional mandatories, creative quality and target optimization and measurement.
  • Ensure seamless hand-over to trafficking and implementation partners.
  • Working with third party partners to plan, deliver, execute and constantly improve sponsorship activity

Skills/Experience Requirements

  • Previous experience of delivering TTL campaigns and driving brand consideration metrics successfully in the past. Been instrumental in driving that performance - not marginal, or peripheral, but a core member of the team.
  • Experience and confidence in managing sponsorship activities.
  • Significant marketing experience running fully integrated campaigns across all channels including ATL from planning through to production meeting agreed targets and outcomes.
  • Experience of briefing in and managing projects across internal departments and external agencies including marketing agencies, media owners and suppliers.
  • Highly creative and idea-focused individual demonstrated through a proven track record of implementing successful and innovative 360 marketing campaigns
  • Strong experience in evolving brands/creative concepts
  • Significant experience in working with agencies to develop innovative media plans
  • Knows how to scrutinise a TV laydown and can challenge our agency when things need to change.
  • Budget management experience, to ensure campaigns are delivered to budget.
  • Experience in reporting on metrics, insights and adapting plans
  • Team player, is able to work together with many different stakeholders across the organization
  • Strong understanding of ATL media channels

  • Comfortable working with ambiguity
  • Experience of working in a fast-moving environment with competing deadlines and priorities
