The strategy of Performance Management is to protect Lloyd's by ensuring peer-leading performance through the application across the Market of strong performance management and risk management underpinned by appropriate capital setting

The strategy of the Policyholder and Third Party Oversight team is to oversee the interests of policyholders so they receive fair treatment in terms of buying policies from competent intermediaries and to make sure that that their claims and complaints are properly and fairly handled. We will also make sure third parties activities and interests in the distribution chain are appropriately overseen is a risk based and efficient manner.

The Role

To promote and drive improvement in respect of managing agents' ability to manage their third parties and their ability to manage conduct and claims so that Lloyd's Customers are treated fairly at all times. This will be through oversight against the customer standards (DA, Claims, Conduct and Complaints).

What Will You Do?

  • To act as customer standards relationship manager for allocated managing agents under the day to day supervision of a senior customer standards oversight manager
  • To undertake risk based oversight in respect of allocated agents using an holistic approach over all the customer standards and this may include
    - Conducting agent specific reviews where agreed with the Head of Syndicate Capability Oversight
    - Conducting follow up assurance activity
    - Thematic reviews (at sector, product or standards level)
    - Regular (eg half yearly) assurance visits
    - Ad hoc assurance activity
  • To provide input into robust and proportionate market interventions based on market knowledge and sound risk based principles
  • To work alongside the Syndicate Capability Oversight team to ensure that agent oversight activity is properly aligned to their objectives and priorities
  • To keep up to date with current regulatory requirements and best practice regarding conduct risk and outsourcing (including requirements, guidance and enforcement action issued by the FCA);
  • To assist with investigating high impact problem policyholder cases eg involving policyholder MIS-selling
  • To keep up to date with current regulatory requirements and best practice regarding conduct risk, claims and outsourcing (including requirements, guidance and enforcement action issued by the FCA);
  • To develop expertise in terms of at least one of the areas of customer standards (claims, conduct, DA or complaints)
  • To support senior customer standards executive as required and to undertake relevant administrative and support functions aligned to the Customer Standards oversight.

What You'll Need

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Lloyd's market.
  • Knowledge and understanding of claims, outsourcing, conduct risk and FCA requirements.
  • Market oversight experience or equivalent
