Grade: F
Duration: 6 months

Location: Bristol, Canons House

Rate: 430/day

Candidates with a strong finance background who have experience in refining and improving processes to assist the Ring Fencing Programme, coupled with excellent stakeholder management would be ideal.

Role Overview

The Ring Fencing Programme is a Platinum regulatory Programme to address the Financial Services (Banking Reform) Bill which enforces separation of the retail banking activities within the UK banks from other parts of its group. The purpose of the Ring Fencing Programme is to ensure that Lloyds Banking Group (LBG) conforms to Ringfencing requirements, by the compliance date of 1st January 2019. Fundamentally, the focus of the programme is to reduce the probability of failure by placing deposit taking core' activities into ring-fenced bodies separated from investment/commercial banking and insurance activities. This role sits within the Central Programme Finance Team as a Senior Finance Manager, accountable for providing Finance Business Partnering support to Ring-fencing Programme Workstream Delivery Leads. To be successful, the role holder will need to build strong relationships with non-finance stakeholders (for example General Counsel providing critical legal delivery advice) and work closely with the Programme teams to provide key financial insight (including forecasting, actuals and risk/opp management).

The role holder will be a key contributor to developing and refining core Finance processes to drive continuous improvement, sharing best practice to deliver consistency across the team and ultimately contributing to team efficiency and their value add to the Programme.

Key responsibilities: 

As a respected advisor, the role holder will provide both challenge and foresight (anticipating outcomes from todays' decisions) and enable delivery, aligned to approved budget with governance compliance.

To articulate the story behind monthly results to senior stakeholders, including Accountable Execs for the Programme, using the knowledge of the cost base drivers.

To generate innovative ideas on cost management in order to contribute to and influence Senior Executive cost planning and forecasting.

The role holder will co-ordinate regular 'deep dive' reviews (incorporating financial and commercial analysis) for the Programme Workstreams; engaging with Delivery Leads and Senior PM's.

To embed the LBG culture and vision through visible leadership and contribute to the strategic direction of the Programme and wider LBG strategy.
