Job Description:
The Retail Systems Testing team has an immediate opening for a Software Test Analyst for Manual Software Testing team. This position is responsible for the verification and validation of functionality for Retail Legacy systems (CMOS) and third party applications. The test analyst works closely with developers, end users and business analysts in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
Because of these close partnerships, candidates must exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and possess a high degree of professionalism and customer service. Also required is the ability to reason logically, and to bring a thoughtful, analytical approach to all phases of the testing process. These skills are necessary to construct productive test scenarios from business requirements, to execute the resultant test cases, and to provide a meaningful evaluation of the results. The test analyst must also have the ability to partner with the developers in order to troubleshoot and resolve issues, and to answer questions from members of the business community.
Additional must-have qualifications for the job include:
*MUST HAVE RETAIL industry EXPERIENCE, and Oracle RMS experience*
Testing Legacy/Cobal applications or any old technologies would be acceptable.
Strong system analysis and problem solving skills
Understand business process flows and quickly understands the business issues
Show superior attention to detail and accuracy
Flexibility and openness to learn different functional areas and systems
Ability to craft and update constructive test scenarios and systems documentation
Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner
Good interpersonal and communication skills to interface with all levels of management--positive self-starter
Bachelor degree in a related field or equivalent business/technical experience
General knowledge of tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio
Knowledge of automated testing tools (QTP, Eggplant) a plus
