* Review structure and determine if its fit for purpose in light of council's new structure and investment focus
* Advise the COO on strengths and weaknesses in the service and remedies
* Advise COO on efficiencies to be made in the service
* Support the creation of a new Assurance Function
* And mentor current senior finance staff
