Finance Administrator - Havant - 3 months initially

We are looking for an experienced Finance Administrator to join our Havant based client, ideally one who has previously worked in an IT, projects, contract management or similar environment.

The contract management team is responsible for ensuring that our Third Party contracts are managed and controlled effectively, and to provide an interface to other internal teams ensuring that our contracts remain compliant with internal, external and regulatory contract management processes. The team comprises two Contract Managers, one full time administrator and one (internal) degree apprentice.

The Finance Administrator is a core role within the team providing essential services to both Retail IT Contract Managers and IT Delivery Managers to ensure that essential third party services are secured, retained and managed appropriately. At times, the role will require obtaining outputs from others (often Senior IT Managers) to meet critical business deadlines, so the ability to effectively influence and manage key stakeholders is vital.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Raising of requisitions
  • Processing of invoices
  • Reconciliation of third party timesheets
  • Supporting the joiners/leavers process (as required) for our third party partners
  • Preparation and secretariat of governance meetings
  • Contract management reporting - including the maintenance of contract trackers
  • Any other administrative support required for our Contract Managers

Person Requirements:

  • Experienced Administrator with strong Microsoft Excel Skills
  • A keen learner with good multi-tasking skills
  • Experience with the use, and/or development of SharePoint would be an advantage.
  • Very strong written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team, and also individually
  • Complete discretion, given the type of work undertaken
  • The ability to identify and implement innovative and effective business improvements.
