Qualified Accountant
3 Month Contract

Our public sector client has an excellent opportunity for a qualified Accountant to join their Edinburgh based team on a 3 month initial contract.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Update and finalise the Draft Financial Strategy document
* Implementation of audit recommendations
* Ensuring that the external audit risks identified are addressed in advance of audit visit
* Review and update Finance Policy & Guidance manual
* Assist the Financial Accountant in the preparation of the year end statutory accounts
* Provide financial support to ad-hoc project work
* Support, when required, the budget process
To carry out this role successfully you will have the following experience:
* Significant relevant knowledge of financial management.
* Excellent oral and communication skills, including the ability to communicate and influence senior management.
* Experienced in the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements and comprehensive commentary in accordance with relevant financial policies and accounting standards.
* Demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively with other areas of the business to deliver organisational goals.
* Sound working knowledge of Windows based software packages including mainstream financial reporting systems, forecasting models, management reporting and MS Office applications.
