Description

Our client in Edinburgh require two experienced Communications Advisors to join their team, on initial 12 month contracts starting ASAP.

You will be providing direct support for key, high profile programmes within The Scottish Public Sector, supporting workstream leads with policy and programme management, event delivery and communications.

Key duties will include:

  • Planning, management and delivery of high profile internal and externally focussed events
  • Develop communications and engagement for work streams, including design, deliver and support of a communications strategy to engage internal and external stakeholdersOn-going maintenance of web and social media accounts
  • Project management support for development and delivery of the workstreams
  • Develop briefing for Ministers/others

Required Experience/Skills:

  • High standard of written and oral communication skills, with experience of engaging effectively with leaders, stakeholders and staff at all levels.
  • Strong digital and social media skills and experience of making use of digital tools, including twitter, wordpress, facebook etc, to support effective communication with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience of working collaboratively across public service organisations to deliver shared objectives.
  • Ability to work autonomously, managing a range of competing priorities with a flexible and proactive approach.
  • Knowledge of Scottish Government communications and/or Scottish Leaders Forum, Workforce Scotland or Open Government Partnership would be advantageous
  • The successful candidate will have strong competencies in Self-Awareness, Communications and Engagement, Analysis and Use of Evidence and Improving Performance
