My client are a leading technology company and are looking for a senior content marketing manager.

As Sr. Manager, Content Marketing, you will develop industry-specific content strategy and create assets to support customers throughout their customer journey. Working as part of an industry-focused content team, the content you propose and implement will either be developed and sourced by the Senior Manager, or re-purposed/reutilised from other sources. Regardless, all content will appeal to target persona, support account engagement and ultimately, sales pipeline goals.

Throughout the development and implementation, you will work closely with stakeholder leaders across the EMEA/APAC region, including the Industry Solutions Group, Global Product Marketing, Global Product Strategy, PR and Sales.

You will be content-literate with a strong understanding of the key drivers of digital marketing messaging and success. You will have a combination marketing and publishing mindset. You will think customer first. You will have a dual-minded approach: combining creative content development skills with the ability to be process-driven, think scale, and rely on data to make decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead industry-specific content development for EMEA and APAC campaigns
  • Leverage market data to develop content themes/topics
  • Collaborate across functions and silos to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan
  • Project manage editorial schedules and deadlines
  • Conduct periodic competitive audits
  • Contribute to content inventories and matrices
  • Identify up-sell and cross-sell opportunities through content analysis
  • Keep up to date with industry best practice and content activities
  • Lead virtual project teams that include employees, contractors and agencies
  • Manage creative resources including designers, writers, and other agency personnel
  • Work with their processes and systems

Skill Requirements:

  • Project management skills and understanding how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment
  • A brand publisher mindset: ability to create the compelling content and then to optimize the path to conversion
  • Solid understanding of and experience with modern digital and integrated marketing
  • Strong communication, relationship management, organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Maintain best practices in grammar, messaging, writing, and style
  • Presentation skills

Experience and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations or related communications field. MBA in marketing a plus
  • 6-10 years of experience as a respected leader in multichannel content creation
  • B2B marketing or comms experience
  • Past experience building audiences either online or offline.
  • Experience with creating compelling messages for different target demographics.
  • Proven editorial skills
  • Skill at both long-form content creation and agile content creation, along with distribution strategies and tactics
  • Ability to tell a story using words, images, or audio, and an understanding of how to create content that draws an audience

Preferred Experience:

  • SaaS technology background or industry/sector expertise within manufacturing, financial services, telecommunications, retail, utilities or public sector
  • Previous work as a content manager or copywriter
  • Audience development and subscription strategies experience
  • Professional credentials in Marketing,
  • Past experience in Sales
