Description
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager, to work in Strasbourg, France as part of our team deployed across Europe.
You will be working with our European team to implement Pan-European projects linking governments and helping the EU work efficiently.
We are searching for a candidate with a following profile:
- 6+ years of experience as a Project Manager, working on International projects in a multicultural environment
- Good understanding of Prince 2 and/or PMI principles
- Knowledge of EU procurement and expenditure life cycle
- Service management/Delivery Experience and Understanding.
- Experience of industry-standard IT Governance practices
- Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft applications including MS Project/Project Server, MS Sharepoint, MS Excel and MS Visio
- IT Performance management/Metrics expertise
- Knowledge of Organisational Change and process improvement methodologies
- In-depth Knowledge of Project/Programme management and implementation of project tools
Tasks will include:
- Ensuring that project/program managers in the Agency receive adequate support and have necessary toolset to implement their duties
- Providing support and coach as necessary project/program managers in implementing, using and improving applicable project management standards, processes & collateral documentation
- Facilitating the PM process acting as central point for lessons learned, templates, best practice and estimation techniques
- Facilitating the project teams to do their jobs by reducing bureaucracy, providing training, mentoring and quality assurance, with the support of other corporate functions
- Planing and reviewing necessary evolution of available tool-set for project management in the Agency to ensure its continuous alignment with the needs of the organization
- Ensuring relevant, accurate and regular progress reporting to support effective decision-making
- Suggesting improvements in adopted project reporting dashboards
The position is offered as a freelance contract initially until the end of 2018, extensions are likely..
