Description

My client an Energy Trading Company based in Sunbury requires a Software Asset Management, Service Delivery Manager who will be a key member of the team and key areas of responsibilities are:

i) maintaining and updating the company SAM Standard and Operating Practice;

ii) formal assessment and shared service definition, gathering, interpreting, cleansing, modelling and reconciling licensing/consumption data.

iii) providing internal training, guidance and compliance assessment against this standard,

iv) defining internal central licence management services,

v) provide licensing advisory and defining license allocation process with project teams for centrally managed license,

vi) engagement with relevant IT teams eg S&A, DS to understand and evaluate licencing requirements and offer effective licensing options,

vii) recommend/influence for effective and optimise licensing strategy to IP during contract negotiations and ensure usage measures are clear and understood

viii) provide input into annual budget, recoveries and monitor review financial spend against plan

ix) make recommendations to optimise software asset

x) managing preferred vendors and products into service line

Ultimately, on-boarding to SAM service will result in an Effective Licence Position (ELP) established within the Company Licence Repository, reached in co-operation with the SAM Cloud and Systems Manager.

Essential Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent desired

Essential experience and job requirements

  • Able to demonstrate: Software Licensing knowledge especially on major publishes such as Microsoft, SAP, Oracle etc.
  • Direct experience of ISO19770 to a level facilitating audit Commercial experience with major software vendors, including audit and compliance aspects, within a large scale global organisation.
  • Basic understanding of ITIL v3.
  • Excellent communication skills; written, presentation and verbal.
  • Ability to manage and influence internal customers', and associated shared services.
  • Familiarity with ELP and vendor licensing/software audit processes.
  • Deep understanding of licensing contract metrics/criteria, practices/process for consumption discovery and reconciliation of license inventory or subscription optimisation.
  • Added advantage if have experience in managing licensing repository and familiar with discovery tools.
  • Experience of work to a defined project management framework
  • Excellent team player.
  • Appreciation for data analytics
  • Exposure to cloud environments (ie Azure and AWS)
