Work Package Project Manager

Location: South West

Duration: 6-12 Months

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Bill of Material (BOM) Logistics. The WP Manager will monitor and manage the engineering outputs to ensure that sufficient detail is made available to the commercial team to enable procurement.
  • Engage and coordinate procurement activity. The WP Manager will be responsible for coordinating equipment purchase Bill of Material (BOM) based on design, Bare Metal Delivery, codification etc. Where necessary undertake requirements capture, including the translation of these into system requirements. Manage the delivery of Build of IT/IS (Systems Integrator) in line with Design.
  • Safety compliance support. The WP Manager will be responsible for safety working group meeting attendance and monitor-report all safety critical issues that impact System design.
  • Commercial engagement. The WP Manager will engage with the commercial group and give support to the procurement process.
  • Coordinate development. The WP Manager will be responsible for the coordination of all client development and submission.
  • Coordinate BC and SMS development. The WP Manager will be responsible for the development of costed and affordable BC and SMS including submission.
  • Coordinate PQQ development. The WP Manager will be responsible for supporting the commercial POC in the development of Pre-Qualification Questionnaire requirements, evaluation and the supplier selection process.
  • Coordinate ITT development. The WP Manager will be responsible for supporting the commercial POC in the development of Invitation to Tender requirements, evaluation and the supplier selection process.
  • Maintaining WP1 schedule. Utilising the Project Planner maintain WP1 schedule within the overall project schedule. Provision of weekly WP progress reports.
  • Coordinate and support Evaluation and down select activity. The WP Manager will be responsible for supporting the commercial POC in the supplier selection process leading to contract award.
  • Delivery/Storage coordination and planning. The WP Manager will ensure that Land system equipment is delivered to the assigned receiving location where the assets are processed, NSN codification completed and inventoried as per the schedule.

ESSENTIALS SKILLS

Be skilled in Project Management Methodologies and Frameworks such as:

  • PRINCE2.
  • APMP.
  • MSP.

Be skilled in Project Management Tools including:

  • Microsoft Project (Enterprise version).

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Have a good understanding from a technical perspective of military deployed CIS and associated CIS Infrastructure.
  • Have proven experience of Managing IS/IT Project Delivery, including to the UK Military.
  • Have proven experience of working within the UK MoD as a Project Manager for the delivery of IS/IT.
  • Active Risk Manager (ARM).
  • Contract Management.
