Sopra Steria Recruitment is working in partnership with a major retail client in the UK. We are currently recruiting a Financial Analyst for an initially 06 month contract based in Swindon.
Essential experience:
- To get the best out of all resources, including people, by driving innovation and continuous improvement. Identify and tackle vigorously relative weakness through prompt action and development.
- Delivery of a financial close process with sufficient granularity of information to support decision-making. Demonstrable competence in management accounting and application of the related IFRS standard.
- With capability and competence to operate the elements of the finance function to which they are allocated. This will include record to report, Detailed Analysis of Management Accounts, Consolidation of Financial Analysis, budgeting and planning, Business Partnering, AP/AR.
- Contribute to the month end close process ensuring appropriate sign off of deliverables on each day of the close to ensure the Record to Report cycle delivers its outputs.
- Establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with Colleges and Business units across the academy, setting the standard and benchmark to achieve consistency, coherence, resource efficiency and situational awareness in the Embedded business manager community.
