European Real Estate Fund Interim Portfolio Operations SVP or Director Close Ended Fund ACCA
Our client is one of the worlds leading and most respected asset management institutions. An opportunity has arisen, initially on an interim basis with the potential for permanent work or extension thereafter, for an experienced Real-Estate Fund Operations professional at SVP/Director level to assist with the launch of a new fund.
The role has arisen due to a member of theteam leaving and is currently on an interim basis to attract someone as quickly as possible. However, long-term the role will need to replaced permanently and the successful candidate will have this as an option. Ideally, they are looking for someone ASAP but for the right candidate there is the potential to accommodate a 3-month notice period
The successful Portfolio Operations professional will essentially hold people accountable for what is happening across the portfolio. You will have an accounting background and be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of managing European real estate funds.
At present 55% of the capital has been invested across 11 assets and the goal is to have all funds invested bt the end of 2018. The portfolio currently consists of offices, retail, shopping centers, student accommodation and assets to lease. The investments are currently spread across Germany, France and Copenhagen with other locations (Such as Spain) currently being researched for the remaining capital.
THE ROLE :
- Working on a closed-ended European Real Estate Fund with investments in the UK, Germany, France and Denmark.
- Providing a link between the Asset Management teams (London, Paris, Copenhagen and Frankfurt), Portfolio Management and the Fund Accountants.
- Oversight of fund level liquidity requirements.
- Working with the transactions team to ensure correct handover of acquisitions.
- Compliance with fund documentation.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
- Experience with European Real-Estate Funds
- Qualified accountant minimum 5 years post qualified
- Experience of working closely with investment teams
- Oversight and coordination of liquidations
HIGHLY DESIRABLE (But non-essential) EXPERIENCE :
- Some treasury experience with credit subscription facilities and fx hedging
- Familiar with closed-ended Lux domiciled property funds and investment structures in France, Germany, UK and the Nordics.
- Knowledge of Yardi System
