Group Risk Manager - Global Media company - Central London - Contract 5 months plus
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Group Risk Manager to work on a contract within a Global Media Organisation. My client, a reputable business, is looking for a commercially minded Group Risk Manager. You will report into the board ensuring the Risk Committee has sufficient oversight of the Groups Principal risks so you can understand whether significant risks are managed within the business and make recommendations for improvement where needed.
Group Risk Manager - Key responsibilities
Ensure the Risk Committee Roadmap is delivered for 2018 this will include:
- Deliver the prioritised work on Principal Risks defined on the Risk Committee Roadmap and deliver this to senior shareholders within the business.
- Ensure the Risk Committee and Board have sufficient insight and oversight of Risks through leading risk workshops.
- Brief and support other functions within the business and participants attending the Risk Committee on expected outcomes.
- Draft and obtain agreement and sign off for risk appetite for each of the Group's Principal Risks.
- Monitor material controls of Principal Risks and log assurance, audit and governance of these controls.
- Deliver newly designed comprehensive reports for each of the Principal Risks.
- Support the Divisions in recognising and understanding risks through risk workshops and deep dives.
- Analyse the Divisional risk registers and make recommendations to the Risk Committee for risks that should be recognised on the Group risk register and Principal Risks.
- Ensure the Group and Global Support risk registers are up to date.
- Provide risk training as and when required.
- Manage and maintain the risk system
- Support and collaborate with the Group with ad hoc risk advice, specialist analysis and workshops.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Strong background in Risk Management
- Min of 5 years Risk experience
