Risk PMO - HSBC
This is a 6 month contract based in Birmingham
Role Purpose
The role holder will support the Head of Strategy, Oversight & Reporting and the Senior Financial Crime Risk Management & Analysis Manager in:
- Delivering 'so what' analysis - considering themes, root causes, cross Line of Business or policy issues and deliver a common risk steward view on effectiveness of HBUK's control framework to mitigate financial crime risk.
- Coordinating the annual financial crime Enterprisewide Risk Assessment (EWRA).
- Reviewing and analysing IRIS entries which will include identifying trends and reporting relevant items to UK FCR governance committees.
- Supporting FCC Audit, Monitor, Assurance and Regulatory reviews.
- Providing briefing notes for Head of FCC and senior management.
- Conducting analysis including check and challenge of performance metrics eg RAS metrics, OE MI dashboard, priority programme metrics.
- Supporting the sign-off for Outsourcing Compliance Assessments including with relevant teams within the FCR function.
- Providing verbal and written briefings for senior management on financial crime risks and issues
- The communication, tracking and implementation of GCLs and Managerial Letters
Knowledge & Experience/Qualifications
- Previous experience of a Compliance department desired, but not required.
- Degree educated desirable.
- Experience and understanding of the HSBC Group, its culture, policies and procedures desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience of liaising with colleagues at many levels within the Bank.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to analyse management information and data.
- Proven track record in managing own time in a fast changing environment.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Evidence of dealing with confidential and sensitive information or issues.
- Flexible, able to work in pressurised environment and manage priorities effectively.
- Organised and methodical approach to tasks.
