Sourcing Manager (Procurement/Supply Chain)
Our client, a well-known financial services organisation based in Edinburgh, requires the services of a Contract Supply Chain/Procurement/Sourcing specialist to join busy, changing operation with a number of live initiatives to assure the quality, value and results of goods and services across multiple categories. This person will provide high quality procurement and contract management expertise.
Typically, the successful candidate will be involved in:
* Provide excellent procurement services and provide high quality advice in relation to wide range of activities from software licenses to outsourcing and complex procurement projects.
* Analyse and negotiate commercial models, and achieve commercial benefits and savings based on a total cost approach
* Engage with and negotiating with suppliers, Legal and Relationship Managers to ensure acceptance of changes.
* Educate internal and external stakeholders and provide guidance to best practice
In order to be successful in this exciting new opportunity, you MUST be able to demonstrate the following:
* Relevant background and experience working as a Procurement Specialist/SourcingManager (ideally within the banking sector)
* Ability to understand contractual & legal documentation and identification of key issues
* A high level of practical procurement expertise in IT procurement
* A high level of contract knowledge
* Excellent interpersonal & communication skills with the ability to influence in a collaborative manner
* Self-motivator with good organisational and time management skills
* Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
You will have exemplary communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders, 3rd party suppliers and senior management where necessary.
