Description
My NHS Client is currently seeking a a finicial support officer to come on board to report into the Finance direct to assist 2 large finical projects on going in the NHS trust.
Skills and Experience Needed
- Highly experienced in financial modelling and analysis
- Excellent Excel modelling skills
- Demonstrable experience and understanding of financial appraisal techniques (NPV, IRR, payback etc.) and experience/ability to build models in Excel to carry out complex financial appraisals.
- Good understanding of NHS tariff system
- Good understanding of the relationship between NHS capital spend and I&E - depreciation, interest, public dividend capital, etc.
- Experience of writing reports which explain complex financial analysis to non-financial managers.
- Very good interpersonal skills and the ability to forge good working relationships with project managers from different backgrounds (none of them financial)
- Experience of, and confidence in, working with clinicians and senior managers and challenging assumptions
- Confident in working as the sole financial person in multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Able to manage time across different projects and programmes
- Able to travel across sites, including Royal Brompton and possibly Denmark Hill
