Cost Analyst - Utilities - Central Belt
I am working with a large utilities company in Scotland who require the support of an experience Cost Analyst to join the business and assist with key analysis activities in cost intelligence decision making. (Please note this role will sit Inside IR35).
In order to be considered for this role candidates must have the following skills/experience:
- Experience working as a Cost Analyst from previous assignments, ideally with a large Utilities provider - specifically the Water sector.
- Proven experience delivering effective results within a team environment, working to prescribed processes and delivering to agreed time frames to meet outputs.
- Good working knowledge of one or more of these areas- Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, Capital Maintenance, Water, Waste Water processes or Non Infrastructure projects.
- Working knowledge of estimating and/or contractual pricing in public or private organisations.
- Must be experience handling large data sets and be able to manipulate the data
- Proven experience sourcing, extracting and loading large data files while ensuring their completeness and integrity.
- Strong or highly proficient Excel skills eg complex formulae and excellent use of Macros/VBA.
- Excellent communication skills, able to interact with senior stakeholders on a daily basis.
Highly desirable:
- Knowledge of Cost and Work Breakdown Structures
- Experience of obtaining and translating data from ERP systems ie SAP, Oracle
