Description

We are seeking an Investment Accounting Finance Manager - Banking, the initial contract runs until December 2018 with potential to extend. You will be based in Bristol and working for a leading Financial Services organisation.

Daily rate: £460

Overview

Delivers influential insight, advice and exercises control through EITHER: leading a team of finance professionals in the development and implementation of the agreed operating model; AND/OR operating as a senior level functional specialist.

Job Purpose:

Responsible for supporting interchange and inter-client fee development and operations, providing analytical, structured thinking and problem solving, with the ability to synthesize and communicate findings to different audiences.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage, develop and motivate colleagues to create a high performing team to deliver business objectives
  • Act as a senior source of professional expertise and input into the development of Finance policy
  • Lead the implementation of medium term operational plans in the context of the strategic direction
  • Lead, develop and implement processes to deliver Group policy aligned to own area
  • Provide insightful information, guidance and advice to influence business decisions
  • Develop a network of external advisers and practitioners and advise Lloyds Banking Group of the implications of benchmark practice on new policies and practice
  • Build and maintain a cross functional internal network to optimise business results
  • Initiate and deliver agreed change programmes to achieve continuous improvement
  • Review, evaluate and mitigate potential risks

Experience:

  • Significant experience of OTC Collateral Management and Stock Lending processing in a broker/dealer, commercial bank or asset/fund management environment.
  • Part qualified accountant
  • Understanding of portfolio valuations and related collateral movements to manage exposure
  • Experience of regulation driven change in the OTC and Collateral areas - EMIR etc.
  • In depth exposure to all forms of collateral to specifically include Cash, Government Bonds, Corporate Bonds, Asset Backed Securities & Equities
  • Experience of implementing new collateral/lending agreements - ISDA CSAs, GMSLAs etc
  • Previous experience in a Third Party administrator or Oversight role

Knowledge/Skills

  • Knowledge of credit risk and Collateral controls
  • Awareness of the Operational and Market Risks associated with the role
  • Operational risk requirements around generic practices such as payments
  • Cross product OTC knowledge including understanding of trading life cycle for OTC Derivative products
  • Cash and securities'
