IT Procurement contractor required for short to medium term contract in Kent

The main areas of responsibility attached to this role include
- purchasing of mainly IT products and services, service request management, contract and financial administration.
- The successful candidate will evaluate suppliers on price, quality, availability and reliability and provides procurement advice to IT and the business in line with demand.
- The role will also include supporting the IT Supplier Manager and the Senior Management team on the resolution of procurement issues, procurement negotiations and contractual compliance.
Other areas include
Purchasing
Contribute effective procurement advice and assistance to both IT and the business
Negotiate terms and conditions and pricing in conjunction with Senior Management and Legal
Process and validate requests for quotes, purchase orders, invoices, payments and delivery notes and maintain accurate supplier records.
Develop and maintain procurement support procedures and documentation
Supplier Analysis and Administration
Collate and analyse supplier performance data and other inputs required to ensure successful supplier engagements.
Participate in supplier service reviews, maintaining contacts and assist the process of supplier performance management and contract management.
Evaluate suppliers, products and services to determine their suitability to solve our business and technology requirements.
Service Request administration
Provide analysis of incidents and problems raised by the IT Service Desk and assigned to the Admin support queue, resolving issues within defined timescales and to standards agreed in relevant Service Level Agreements
To be considered for this role you simply need to be able to show that you have some experience in IT Procurement. Additionally you will have strong communication skills and be a good team player.
