Senior Application Support Analyst - Investment Bank

Cloudstream Global are currently working with a leading top tier global financial services company. Our banking client is looking to build a team of 70 globally dispersed Senior application support analysts to provide technical and business support for their industry leading Fixed Income trade capture system and risk flow- which supports rates, credit and securitized products.
Application Support Analyst -Your role
Liaising closely with offshore teams to provide 24 x 5 coverage of the application between business start-up and close, and any additional demands of the business. Your colleagues will be globally dispersed across New York, Shanghai, London and Belfast.
Senior Application Support Analyst: Key Responsibilities
- Provide user support for critical trade capture system
- Support all aspects of Cash, Mortgages & Prime Broker trade ad position flows including trader-sales matching and regulatory reporting
- Start of the day checks, continuous monitoring of application
- Expected to be able to raise problems to appropriate technology and business teams, while adhering to Service Level Agreement
- Develop and maintain technical support documentation
- Act as liaison between users/traders, interfacing internal technology groups and vendors
- Participate in application releases, from development, testing and deployment into production
- Active involvement in and ownership of Support Project items, covering stability, efficiency, and effective initiatives
- Cooperation with Development colleagues to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements
Application Support Analyst - Essential Requirements
- Working knowledge of Oracle SQL (Able to build ad hoc AQL queries)
- Working knowledge of UNIX (Solaris/Linux)
- Previous experience working in fast paced environments
- Strong analytical skills & attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- 4 years application support experience
Desirables
- Basic business knowledge/understanding of financial markets and products
- Experience with Messaging technologies (TIBCO EMS)
- Good all-round PC skills
- Issue tracking and reporting using tools such as JIRA
