Cost Engineer, NPI, Cost Estimates, VA/VE, Cost Reports

Location: Peterborough

Duration: 12 months

My client, a global organisation, is currently looking for a Cost Engineer to assist with identifying cost reduction that coincides with finalising 'cost model' results. The successful cost engineer will make sure the activities of price change assessments are started before sign off to ensure value for money. The role of cost engineer will require strong knowledge of commercial cost drivers and manufacturing processes. Previous experience interpreting and analysing numerical data would be required for this position, and strong knowledge of Excel would be advantageous.

Essential skills;

  • Previous experience managing multiple projects
  • Demonstrable knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Experience of interpreting numerical data
  • Extensive experience of using Microsoft packages
  • Ability to demonstrate cross functional team work
