Description
Procurement Specialist, ideally with CIPS qualification, required for initial 3 month contract with public sector client in Edinburgh.
Your duties will include;
- Leading in procurement strategy development and implementation of medium/high risk/value commodity strategies optimising value for money
- Work effectively with a range of customers and stakeholders to deliver credible procurement strategies and contracts
- Provide support to stakeholders on supplier relationship and contract management
- Provide specialist procurement, commercial and contractual advice and guidance on EU policy and procedures
- Manage the complete end to end procurement process from initial conception through to contract award and delivery
Experience required;
- Experience of delivery public sector procurement projects
- Solid knowledge and understanding of the full end to end procurement process including strategic procurement techniques, sourcing and tendering, supplier and contract management, and negotiation
- Strong stakeholder management skills
It would be highly desirable if you had CIPS qualification
