Finance Commercial Analyst
This is an exciting time for our business, npower and SSE are planning a merger creating a competitive and leading UK energy company. To support us in this challenge we are looking for a motivated Finance Commercial Analyst to join our IT Performance Management and Finance Team.
We are looking for people who are keen to take a hands on role and who can bring a solid financial or commercial analyst background, someone who is able to work with limited supervision and strives to deliver. Within this role you will be required to engage with a variety of stakeholders and therefore strong people skills are essential. Deliverables
-Support the business with sound analysis and advice
-Cost base analysis and cost revenue alignment investigation
-Provide analysis supporting investment and lease/buy decision
-Support mid-term planning
-Support Procurement Team in contract novation - financial assurance and advice only
-Support Licence Management Team
Requirements
-Analytical problem solver
-Strong finance background with management accounting, analysis and commercial background rather than financial accounting (more CIMA than ACA/ICAEW also QBE instead of professional accounting qualification OK with right experience)
-MS Office and advanced excel - must
-SAP - Strong advantage
-Apptio - Great additional advantage
-Experience in IT Finance - Strong advantage
-Experience and understanding of licence and SW contracts, IT outsource contracts - advantage
