Job Role: Quality Laboratory Technician
Salary: £12.50 - £16 per hour (Contract)
Location: Skelmersdale

Are you an ambitious Quality Technician looking to join a leading global organisation? One of the world's leading manufacturers is looking for a skilled individual to join their ever growing Skelmersdale team.

The Role

*Monitor production quality against company and customer standards/requirements and address any quality issues as needed - specifically to maintain the testing regime for Particulate, Gas and Combination filters produced per shift.
*Monitor and communicate any quality issues, to key stakeholders in the business and participate in problem resolution; input and interpret data produced during the testing
*Analyse customer returns and conduct Problem Solving review, coordinate the implementation of preventative/corrective actions where necessary; operate SAP and ensure material is quarantined and bonded when necessary.
*Conduct quality audits as necessary; ensuring gas lab equipment is calibrated and ensure raw materials are always available
*Co-ordinate containment activities as applicable (Customer/Plant/Supplier)
*Maintain plant quality (KPI's) data base and provide reporting as necessary
*Participate in continuous improvement projects as needed
*New part introduction process as part of program launch team, as required
*Supporting pilot/Alpha production builds
*Maintain satisfactory levels of time-keeping and attendance.
*Maintain satisfactory levels of housekeeping for all quality functions
*Any other duties as required to support business.

The Package
This role offers rates from £12.50 - £16 per hour depending on shift pattern.

The Person
*HNC or equivalent in Quality or Engineering subject
*Excellent communication and presentational skills.
*Experienced in liaising with internal customers and suppliers.
*Experience of problem solving activities.
*Experience in a role where it was important to effectively manage relationships with multiple parties
*Understanding of various quality tools and methodologies ie 8D, Pareto charts and statistical data
*Understanding of office software systems - comfortable maintaining and using data/databases
*Planning and organizational skills
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills
*Self-directed
*Analytical & Problem Solving skills
