Are you an experienced Business Analyst with a good understanding of accountancy?
If so we at Core-Asset Consulting have an exciting new opportunity within a global investment management house which may be of interest to you. Our client is looking for a Business Analyst to work within their Corporate Applications programme and align themselves to the finance work stream.
This is initially a 6 month contract based in Edinburgh.
Core requirements:
- Solid knowledge of Finance functions and systems. Ideally this would be backed up by a recognised Accountancy Qualification
- Experience gained through working with a number of different companies/organisations so they bring a different perspective to the approach
- Strong BA craft across all parts of the project life cycle (ranging from definition, scoping, requirements elicitation, business solution design, and support for delivery, UAT, business readiness and production proving).
- Strong technical skills and awareness including data integration and migration, interface specifications, data analysis.
- Examples of having worked across Global sites, in a multi-skilled teams, and with 3rd party consultants and technology vendors
Core responsibilities:
- Rationalising of a significant number of finance applications across the combined business
These Finance applications support all Finance functions including:
- Accounting eg General ledgers (CODA)
- Financial planning, budgeting and forecasting
- Financial Reporting including AUM
- Tax and accounts production
- Transaction processing eg Customer Billing, Purchase to Pay and staff expenses
