Description

I am working with a City Centre business who are seeking a finance assistant to cover an 18-month contract, working in a small but perfectly formed Finance Team. You will support the Finance Manager in all financial records. You will maintain financial information support purchase orders and analyse cost codes. This role is transactional but needs a candidate with a good eye for detail. Someone who is used to manual bookkeeping, reviewing codes and working on Excel to allocate PO's.

You will have experience in a finance role, and although you will take ownership of the purchase ledger and payments, you will also assist the wider finance team to support period end and sales analysis. You will have a natural flair for figures and be able to work closely with marketing and operational teams. You will take ownership and control of budget reconciliations, and not be afraid to ask questions, but also be someone who will consistently support your colleagues and join in' the team social events.

The successful candidate will be confident, able to speak to all levels across the business, highly experience in Excel, previous experience in a financial position, professional, able to follow procedures, a good sense of humour, reconciliations experience. This is a long contract with an immediate start available.
