Category Manager - 6 Month Contract - Central London
My client is looking for an experience Category Manager in Central London
- Minimum 5+ years of Procurement experience
- Knowledge of Public Procurement procedures;
- Substantial demonstrated experience of managing below OJEU threshold procurement exercises and mini-competitions via government framework agreements particularly high volume of low value (relatively) procurements requiring minimal turnaround;
- Ability to draft mini-competition and low value tender documents;
- Able to manage simultaneously multiple procurements at various stages of completion;
- Excellent time management with a can do' attitude;
- Knowledge of e-tender tools (eg Bravo);
- Excellent Customer/Stakeholder engagement skills;
- Good team working abilities
- Able to demonstrate financial and commercial acumen and recognise need for most economical advantageous offer rather than cheapest price;
- Ability to persuade and influence;
- IT literate in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project Management software
Desirable
- Experience of NEC3 contracts would be advantageous;
- Experience of using Oracle applications;
