Category Manager - 6 Month Contract - Central London

My client is looking for an experience Category Manager in Central London

  • Minimum 5+ years of Procurement experience
  • Knowledge of Public Procurement procedures;
  • Substantial demonstrated experience of managing below OJEU threshold procurement exercises and mini-competitions via government framework agreements particularly high volume of low value (relatively) procurements requiring minimal turnaround;
  • Ability to draft mini-competition and low value tender documents;
  • Able to manage simultaneously multiple procurements at various stages of completion;
  • Excellent time management with a can do' attitude;
  • Knowledge of e-tender tools (eg Bravo);
  • Excellent Customer/Stakeholder engagement skills;
  • Good team working abilities
  • Able to demonstrate financial and commercial acumen and recognise need for most economical advantageous offer rather than cheapest price;
  • Ability to persuade and influence;
  • IT literate in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project Management software

Desirable

  • Experience of NEC3 contracts would be advantageous;
  • Experience of using Oracle applications;
