An exciting contract opportunity has arisen at a leading insurance company for a Supplier Relationship and Commercial Manager to be based in York.

You will be working in the IT Contract & Commercial Management team who are responsible for managing 3rd party IT suppliers and associated contracts. The purpose of the role is to manage an exit strategy for a large scaler supplier.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and agree Supplier Relationship Management strategies
  • Annual supplier/account value planning and development
  • Extract maximum value from supplier relationships
  • Management of key internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure effectiveness in supplier engagement at all levels

The successful Supplier Relationship and Commercial Manager will have:

  • Previous experience of managing a large scale supplier or 3rd party vendor
  • Proven experience in supplier relationship and commercial management for strategic and/or business critical supplier contracts
  • Commercial and contract knowledge
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills

Desirable:

  • Experience of managing an exit or migration strategy for a large scale supplier or 3rd party vendor
  • Experience with IT suppliers
  • CIPS Qualified
