An exciting contract opportunity has arisen at a leading insurance company for a Supplier Relationship and Commercial Manager to be based in York.
You will be working in the IT Contract & Commercial Management team who are responsible for managing 3rd party IT suppliers and associated contracts. The purpose of the role is to manage an exit strategy for a large scaler supplier.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and agree Supplier Relationship Management strategies
- Annual supplier/account value planning and development
- Extract maximum value from supplier relationships
- Management of key internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure effectiveness in supplier engagement at all levels
The successful Supplier Relationship and Commercial Manager will have:
- Previous experience of managing a large scale supplier or 3rd party vendor
- Proven experience in supplier relationship and commercial management for strategic and/or business critical supplier contracts
- Commercial and contract knowledge
- Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
Desirable:
- Experience of managing an exit or migration strategy for a large scale supplier or 3rd party vendor
- Experience with IT suppliers
- CIPS Qualified
