Role: Finance Manager/Business Partner
Location: Edinburgh
Rate: £350 per day
Duration: 4 months initially

This role will be responsible for consolidation and analysis of our client's operating costs and for providing business partnering to head office functions.
Your role responsibilities will include:
* Consolidation of the banks cost base producing detailed cost analysis with full understanding of cost drivers to support the bank in driving efficiency and value for money
* Quality and timely annual and five year cost plans (including stress scenario forecasts)
* Monthly rolling forecasts to facilitate and drive the understanding of the cost base and to assist cost centres in delivery of their plans.
* Building constructive, challenging relationships with business teams, providing financial support and challenge on current and future business performance.
* Responsible for forecasting and consolidating the bank's payroll and FTE forecast, working close with HR to agree key metrics. Using new and existing models provide sensitivity analysis to assist in their decision-making. Ensuring models are accurate, up-to-date, and maintained in line with model management framework and policies.
* Responsibility for reviewing the cost base and providing challenge to Finance business Partners. This involves regular monthly cost reporting, competitor benchmarking (if appropriate) and VFM measurement.
Your skills, knowledge and experience:
* Qualified accountant of 5+ years' experience
* Financial planning & management accounting
* Previous experience of challenging colleagues in a collaborative and constructive manner, having the courage to pose questions to ensure the right fact based decisions are always made
* Proven relationship manager across teams and in a Matrix management organisation
* Proven ability to influence at a Senior Management and Executive level
* Understanding of conduct risk, specifically the delivery of fair customer outcomes
* Excellent analytical skills and attention.
