Description

Business Advisory Services:

* Work pro-actively with the business to propose and agree best practice solutions for international mobility that meet the needs of the business and is in line with Policy; the Global Mobility Manager should contribute to ensuring the policy is updated and continues to meet business needs as businesses evolve
* Act as the point of contact for HR Business Partners and HR Generalists, Line Managers and assignees
* Work with the business unit on their resource planning so that it is clear how long an assignee is required in country and what role they will enter upon repatriation
* Ensure that each business is kept up to date on any changes to legislation which may impact the international populations and to ensure businesses are compliant with tax, immigration, employment law and other legislation in the overseas locations in which they are or wish to operate.
* Manage stakeholder expectations in terms of key process timings (payroll set up/visa applications etc.)
* Deliver and explain cost estimates for business unit approval prior to initiating the assignment process
* Provide regular cost reports to the business during the assignment
* Work as an integrated part of the Business Unit Bid Team on campaign activities, providing support and guidance on all mobility issues (facilitate projected costings of mobilisation, tax, immigration, etc.), obtaining advice and input from compliance team as appropriate
* Support development of employment propositions and infrastructure associated with new or expanding locations taking into consideration the strategic direction of the business

Global Mobility:

* Assignment set up
o Act as the point of contact for HR Business partners and HR generalists, for line
managers and for assignees
o Ensure the necessary stakeholders are informed of/have approved the pending
assignment
o Carry out assignee briefings, managing the expectation of assignees and
providing information relating to their assignment including key activities needed to relocate successfully
o Responsible for delivery of compliant and accurate assignment documentation
o Manage any exception requests in line with the exceptions approval process
* Assignment management
o Act as the point of contact for HR Business partners and HR generalists, for line
managers and assignees
o First point of contact for queries relating to employment/assignment terms and
conditions, Company policies, immigration, tax, employment law and assignment costs
o Provide support to assignees throughout their assignment including in country
visits as appropriate
o Work with external suppliers for visas, tax, employment law, shipping,
destination services as well as Regional Destination Services team
o Interface with home and host payrolls for inbound and outbound assignees
o Resolve any queries that require technical input (international payroll
instructions, tax queries) or liaise with compliance team and vendors to reach a
solution
o Review any assignment extension requests with the business and determine if
there are any tax/legal/policy implications
o Approve assignment data on ECAEnterprise and Success Factors
o Approve Remuneration Worksheets for assignees and payroll instructions
* Other:
o Undertake specific projects in support of the development of the overall GM
service provision
o Recommend changes to service provision and policy considering the feedback
received from key stakeholders.

Interpersonal Skills:

* HR Business facing role - Global Mobility operates a 'one touch' approach for Line Managers and the Assignee.
