Description

As a Credit Controller you will work closely with the Finance Support Team which forms part of the larger Finance function and report to the Senior Credit Controller. We are looking for a flexible team player who thrives in a busy environment and is willing to be flexible in busy time periods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dealing with a large portfolio of prestigious clients and liaising with them on a daily basis regarding their debts, predominantly via telephone.
  • Regular contact with Finance Support Team and Partners regarding outstanding debts and closely cash collection budgets and targets.
  • Preparation of debt reporting statements and monitoring clients payments processes.
  • Liaison with the Cashiers department on bank transfers/payment lists and assist on identifying cash allocations and dealing with cashiers queries.
  • Dealing with clients on a daily basis in and efficient and professional manner and assisting on queries.
  • Responsible for monitoring, chasing and meeting cash collections and targets.
  • Confidently engaging in regular meetings and conversations with the Finance Team, fee earners and support staff.
  • Weekly bad debt sheet and the workings.
  • Top Bills spreadsheet and targeted bills hitting the bad debts.
  • Gain knowledge of the various ebilling systems and check and update records.
  • Chase a number of top Banking clients resolving queries and building an excellent communication and client working relationship.

Requirements

  • Excellent persuasion skills both verbal and written communication to liaise effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a very busy environment.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and cover colleagues workloads when necessary and perform other duties which are operationally required.
  • Good knowledge of Excel including setting up spreadsheets and adding simple formulas.
  • Have Elite experience as we have a new system coming in.
  • Confident working with numbers with the ability to reconcile accurately.
  • Demonstrate a pro-active, conscientious and enthusiastic attitude to work.
  • Demonstrated use of initiative when problem-solving, including providing innovative solutions to issues and their anticipated responses.
